I was born in London in 1958. My formal art training was undertaken at Newcastle Polytechnic.

My main areas of interest are portraits and the human figure.

The list of artists I like would include such names as: William Nicholson, Edouard Vuillard, Valentin Serov, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, James Montgomery Flagg, Edouard Manet, Egon Schiele, NC Wyeth, Frantisek Kupka, Gustav Klimt, Käthe Kollwitz and Frank Frazetta to name a few.
